Physical Development
1. Movement – by encouraging rolling, scooting, crawling and walking with the use
of a variety of tools supplied in the classroom.
2. Balance – supportive sitting, swings, infant seats, chairs and most importantly
with one on one support.
3. Adequate rest – allowing sleep as needed and directed by the parents.
Emotional Development
1. Security – responding to expressed needs.
2. Love and Care – touching, holding, changing, playing and holding during feeding.
Social Development
1. Interaction – helping the children to play parallel with others in a supervised
group.
2. Behavior skills – children cannot yet mediate themselves, therefore they may
need to be redirected during disagreements.
Intellectual Development
1. Language - shared conversation with children through all interactions
2. Cognitive – demonstrating cause and effect.
3. Creative – allowing children to interpret the process so that the product is as
individual as the child making it.
